Updating Corppass Account details for Corppass Users

We understand that users are encountering errors and access issues when using the newly launched Divorce E-Services.  We apologise for the teething issues and thank you for your patience as we work towards resolving them.

1. Filing of OS for divorce for MCP cases whose filing deadline expire between 1 December 2022 and 15 January 2023

Parties whose deadline for filing the originating summons (“OS”) for divorce expire between 1 December 2022 and 15 January 2023 but are unable to file the OS in E-Services due to technical issues since the implementation of E-Services may file the OS from 20 December 2022 up to by 31 January 2023 notwithstanding the expiry of the deadline.  Pursuant to rule 43(1) of the Muslim Marriage and Divorce Rules, the party filing i.e. the Plaintiff or his/her solicitor must make an oral request to be allowed to do so retrospectively at the first Court session for the case.

2. Law firms to furnish Corppass users’ details to facilitate access to the new Divorce E-Services on the SYC Portal

We would like to remind law firms to provide the information requested by Syariah Court through the Law Society as soon as possible of their authorised Corppass users so that law firms have proper access to the Divorce E-Services for their cases.  
Law firms may email in a password-protected document the following information to MCCY_Syariah@mccy.gov.sg with the subject header “Corppass Users details for <law firm name>”, and provide the password in a separate email. The information is required for validation and configuration purposes.

3. For each authorised Corppass user: Full Name, Full NRIC No., Email address, Gender

Without all the requested information, users will not be able to transact using E-Services, including the filing of documents. Corppass must also ensure that you are authorised by your  Corppass administrator to transact on the SYC Portal. 


3. Technical issues when accessing the SYC Portal and E-Services using mobile devices

Due to technical issues when accessing the SYC Portal and E-Services using mobile devices, user may be unable to view Remarks for returned applications and documents, and face errors in date fields.  Users are thus encouraged to use a laptop or desktop device when accessing the SYC Portal and using E-Services until further updates are provided. 


4. Re-filing of Provisional Grant of Aid or Grant of Aid by Defendant’s assigned solicitors

Solicitors assigned by the Legal Aid Bureau to act for a Defendant who have filed a Notice of Appointment of Solicitor and a Provisional Grant of Aid or Grant of Aid before the Registry closure are to re-file the Provisional Grant of Aid or Grant of Aid.  The re-filing is required for configuration purposes of the waiver of filing fees.


5. Case ID for filing of affidavit under a Summons application accepted before Registry closure

A party who wishes to file an affidavit under a Summons application which had  been accepted by the Court before the Registry closure are to key in only the 5-digit Originating Summons number for the purposes of validation of access.
