Updates on Video-Conferencing via Webex and Collection of Divorce Certificates from 2 November 2020

The Syariah Court will continue its safe management measures that have been implemented for Court users.
a) Update on Video-Conferencing via Webex for Court proceedings
Court proceedings will continue to be remotely conducted via the Webex app, where suitable. To facilitate this, from 2 November 2020, solicitors may access the Court’s Hearing List for each week on the website (under “Resources” tab) every preceding Friday for information on the presiding officer hearing the matter. The Webex Meeting ID for each presiding officer is set out in Registrar’s Circular No. 19 of 2020.
b) Update on Collection of Divorce Certificates
Certificates of divorce that are made or issued on or after 2 November 2020 will continue to be sent via email. If a party requires a hard copy of the certificate of divorce, he/she must make the request for physical collection from the Court upon payment.
